Andrew Pakes MP visits Digital Futures

Digital Futures was delighted to be joined this week by Andrew Pakes MP, who met with our CEO, Scott Vincent, our team and our consultants in an important discussion focused on how we can address critical skills gaps in the UK through investment in training and opening up employment opportunities for individuals from all backgrounds.

Andrew is the Co-Chair of the All-Party Parliamentary Group (APPG) for Apprenticeships and specialises in shaping policy around AI, technology and the evolving landscape of work. He was excited to visit Digital Futures to learn more about the alternative routes into skilled employment we provide through our three services – our Future Talent Programme, Experienced Teams and Workforce Upskilling.

Speaking on his passion for creating employment opportunities and building a highly-skilled future workforce, Andrew emphasised that, “If we want to excel in the jobs of the future, we need to address how we create quality that’s based on capability and skills, but that can also be flexible as industry and technology changes”, a message that resonates strongly with the mission and purpose of Digital Futures.

Andrew spoke with several of our consultants about their journeys with us, from their backgrounds to the skills they gained at the Digital Futures Academy, to the impact they are delivering for our clients in their brand-new careers.
