We are delighted to announce that Digital Futures has been chosen by Amazon Web Services (AWS) as the first non-academic institution in the UK to become a member of the AWS Academy. With the rapid rise of cloud computing and increasing demand for cloud engineers, being a member institution of the AWS Academy puts Digital Futures in a fantastic position to train and develop highly skilled and certified cloud engineers, ready to support the needs of our clients.
Fundamental to the Digital Futures’ mission is the creation of opportunity for people from all backgrounds to start their careers in technology. We are proud that our unique relationship with AWS will allow us to take all our cloud engineers through the AWS curriculum and certifications, from foundation right through to professional level, completely free of charge.

Our cloud engineering programme begins with 12-weeks of immersive learning focused on achieving the AWS Cloud Practitioner and AWS Solutions Architect Associate certifications. This will prepare our engineers for their roles with our clients where they will work on a variety of projects across DevOps, SRE, cloud platform engineering, troubleshooting and day-to-day software deployments. Their learning journey will continue for at least another 2 years as they build their experience in their work for our clients alongside working towards their AWS Developer Associate, AWS SysOps Administrator Associate and AWS Solutions Architect Professional certifications.
Our cloud engineering programme is being developed and delivered by cloud and AWS expert, Ryan Pothecary. As a Senior Solutions Architect, Senior Partner Enablement Instructor and Senior Consultant at AWS prior to joining Digital Futures, Ryan has been at the forefront of cloud transformation programmes for several years and has brought with him a wealth of experience. Ryan said, “I’m thrilled to be part of Digital Futures and to be able to provide this incredible opportunity to a new generation of cloud engineers. It’s incredibly exciting to be even just a small part of the journeys and successes of our fantastic cloud engineers, who I have no doubt will go on to do great things.”
