Business Manager - Business Manager - Digital Futures

Digital Futures is seeking a highly organised and commercially astute Business Manager to support the New Business function across strategic relationships, corporate development, and executive operations. This is a business-critical 14-month maternity cover, with the potential to become permanent given the centrality of the role within our growing organisation.

Key Responsibilities:

Strengthen the New Business function’s external relationships

Support the development and management of key institutional relationships, including corporate clients, government bodies, and industry stakeholders.

Ensure regular engagement and timely follow-up with strategic partners to foster long-term collaboration.

Prepare briefing materials, reports, and follow-up notes for external meetings.

Support client development and business growth

Identify and assess new business opportunities, strategic partnerships, and growth initiatives.

Conduct market research and prepare business cases to support decision-making.

Maintain and update the CRM with relevant client and pipeline information.

Act as a key liaison between the New Business function and the Client Partners to ensure alignment on messaging, priorities, and opportunities.

Manage executive operations and scheduling

Coordinate high-level meetings, including agendas, minutes, and follow-ups, to ensure timely execution.

Handle sensitive and confidential matters with discretion and professionalism.

Key Requirements

Professional services background: Experience in consulting, technology services, or a similarly fast-paced, high-performance environment is preferred.

Confident and assertive communicator: able to influence and persuade senior leaders - including the CEO - to ensure key priorities are actioned effectively.

Organisational and project management excellence: Proven ability to manage complex schedules, multiple workstreams, and key relationships.

Commercial awareness: Strong understanding of business development, corporate strategy, and stakeholder management.

Discretion and integrity: Trusted to handle confidential matters with the highest level of professionalism.

Proactive and detail-oriented: A self-starter who anticipates needs, solves problems, and ensures smooth execution.
