The Frontier AI Programme has been recognised under the title “Kickstarting careers in AI”, recognising the quality of our training and the measurable impact it has delivered for our people, our clients and the wider technology workforce.

Digital Futures is proud to have received a Princess Royal Training Award for its Frontier AI Programme. Delivered by the City & Guilds Foundation and supported by HRH The Princess Royal, the Awards recognise employers whose training and development programmes have made a demonstrable difference to their organisation, their people and society.

What the Award recognises

The Frontier AI Programme was built to solve two critical problems. Organisations need AI capability faster than the traditional talent market can supply it. At the same time, a great deal of capable, ambitious talent is locked out of technology careers by conventional routes in.

Our programme closes both gaps. Since the programme launched, hundreds of participants have trained with us and become Digital Futures consultants, now working directly on data and AI transformation projects for the world’s largest organisations.

The result is a growing pipeline of AI consultants ready to contribute from day one, strengthening workforce capability for the clients we serve. Behind every placement is an organisation made more capable and a career started, which is the collective impact we measure ourselves by.

Scott Vincent, Founder and CEO of Digital Futures, said:

“Royal recognition for the Frontier AI Programme matters because of what it recognises: capability can be built deliberately, at scale, and from a far wider pool of talent than our industry typically draws on.

Every organisation we work with is being asked to do more with AI, and few have enough skilled people to deliver on it. A pipeline of expertly trained consultants now delivering in client teams across the UK is the most direct response we can give to that shortage. It is also the clearest evidence that widening access and raising standards are not competing objectives. Done properly, each depends on the other.

I am deeply proud of the team that built this programme, and of every participant who has earned their place through it.”

What comes next

The Award validates our model. Our work now is to extend it ‒ deepening the technical standard of the Frontier AI Programme as AI technology evolves, and broadening the routes into it, so that more people can build the AI skills required for industry and more organisations can access the capability they need to compete in an AI-driven economy.
